Google is adding “Reviews from the web,” to its Knowledge Panels in search results which will be available both for mobile and desktop. With this update content from third-party sites such as critic and customer reviews as well as best-of lists will be added to Google’s Knowledge Panels which will be featured within the business listing. Google will add Reviews from the web for various local verticals.
Reviews from the web on desktops will be shown in the Knowledge Panel just like how critic reviews are featured while for mobile it will be featured horizontally at the top of critic reviews and best-of-lists. Now with the inclusion of Reviews from the web, Google has added three layers to review sources. In addition to its own reviews, the search giant will feature reviews from critics’ as well as from third party review sites in an attempt to provide local searchers with extensive information on places local Currently Google is still in the process of buffing up its own reviews source.
